Revision of the Premium Rate for Health Insurance
The premium rate for Health Insurance run by Japan National Health Insurance Association (“Kyoukai Kenpo”) will be revised as listed below from March 2010 (payment due in April 2010).
Tokyo 8.18%→9.32%
Kanagawa Prefecture 8.19%→9.33%
Osaka Prefecture 8.22%→9.38%

* For those aged 40 to 64 (the Category 2 insured persons), the national flat rate for Nursing Care Insurance (1.50%) is added to the above premium rate for Health Insurance. The rate for Nursing Care Insurance will also change from 1.19% to 1.50%.
